2023/04/18 Clutch judder issues with my F30 ①
Approximately 10 years ago, I bought a Japanese sports car. It was a Honda Type R, which can run at the speed of 200 miles per hour if you do not mind losing your driver’s license. I had so much fun driving my Honda since then, however, a local policeman crushed my car from the back and I had to give up my favorite Honda. What a terrible accident it was! I still suffer from neck/back pain when the temperature is low. He and his supervisor never apologized to me for the accident which made me freak out as you could easily understand. Anyway, I had to replace my broken Honda, which was a very sad thing to do. You would understand what I feel if you are a so-called car guy.
At that time, I wanted to buy a sedan-style car, with 4 doors, a 6-speed stick shift, and a 2000＋cc NA engine. I test-drove many cars, whether domestic or imported and, finally decided to choose a BMW. BMW cars are, in my opinion, fun to drive, passively safe thanks to the strong structure, and most importantly, mechanically reliable. Am I right? Probably so. I talked to a couple of salespersons at a local BMW dealership and decided to buy the F30 M sports edition, which was, and still is a great sporty sedan. It was my first BMW and I loved it so much. Needless to say, I drove my favorite, brand-new BMW every day, back and forth between my place and my office. Regular Tokyo people drive less than 5000 miles per year, however, in my case, I drove my car more than 10K miles in the first year, which was 2018. I mean, I loved my car so much and I was very very happy. As far as I drove my car, I was in a good mood even if bad things happening in my real life. It’s not exactly a sports car, but a sporty sedan. It runs great, looks good, and I love it. Unfortunately, happy days with my BMW did not continue for a long time, due to subtle but significant mechanical issues.
